Erik played a pivotal role in helping Religion of Sports win two Emmys for "Tom vs. Time" and "Man in the Arena"—but let's be honest, in both of those cases, Tom Brady did most of the winning...Before joining Religion of Sports, Erik was a photojournalist and US Army veteran who transitioned from the chaos of combat to the chaos of filmmaking. He ventured into the sports industry by copywriting branded content for Nike, National Geographic, Disney, Mountain Dew, and Bravo TV (don't ask).At Religion of Sports, Erik wrote and co-directed "Passion Play" (Showtime), a documentary about Russell Westbrook’s fiery brand of basketball. He also wrote and produced "Stephen vs. the Game" (Facebook Watch), chronicling Steph Curry’s 2018-19 NBA season, and wrote season 1 of "Greatness Code" (Apple+), exploring what it takes to achieve peak performance. He is currently writing and co-directing a three-hour documentary for HBO.
